The Silver Ferns have a sterling history in the sport, dating right back to 1938, and their first international Test Match against neighbours and arch-rivals Australia – the beginning of a thrilling see-saw battle for supremacy that is undeniably the highlight of the sport today.
From their first world title in 1967, to Test Matches being televised live on prime time television in the 1980s, the Silver Ferns have established themselves as a vital part of New Zealand’s sporting landscape.
