New outfit for Silver Ferns as PUMA becomes premier partner
Heading into the Netball Quad Series the Silver Ferns will be sporting a new bespoke uniform PUMA joins the Silver Ferns family as a Premier Partner.
Pancho Gutstein, General Manager of PUMA Oceania says they are honoured to enter a partnership with the Silver Ferns and are committed to supporting high performance athletes across the country.
“We have a long-standing passion for supporting women’s sport. Becoming a premier partner of the Silver Ferns has given us the opportunity to design a new dress for the athletes, in conjunction with Netball New Zealand.
“It was specifically designed to enhance the players’ performance. From the cut, to the fabric type we wanted to allow the players’ full range of motion, as well as resistance where needed. We can’t wait to see it out on the court,” says Gutstein.
The Silver Ferns new outfit demonstrates PUMA’s innovative and fast designs to the Netball world, with its high performing design. The uniform includes a new mesh panel for increased breathability, as well as DRYCELL technology which allows for moisture wicking. The functional fabric also allows for a full range of movement, durability and resistance.
The dress has been cut with a performance racer back and curved hemline for enhanced aesthetics. PUMA have also incorporated their graphic from the global teamsport Cup range.
Netball New Zealand CEO Jennie Wyllie is delighted PUMA has joined the Silver Ferns team at such a crucial time.
“We have a big season ahead of us so it’s exciting to partner with an organisation whose values align with our own. PUMA is a long-standing brand that so many Kiwis have depended on, so we’re excited to see our team sporting the new uniform on the court later this year.”
