NZ Umpire Quartet Selected For Netball World Cup 2015

Four of New Zealand’s top umpires have been named to officiate at the Netball World Cup (NWC) in Sydney.

The 14th staging of the World Cup will run from August 7 to 16, with the INF also announcing the Umpire Appointment Panel and Jury of Appeal who will officiate the tournament alongside the umpires.

The four New Zealand umpires are Jono Bredin, Lisa McPhail, Yvonne Morgan, and Kristie Simpson with David Pala’amo named on the Umpire Appointment Panel.

The umpires selected represent an array of nations, including New Zealand, Australia, England, Jamaica, South Africa and Trinidad and Tobago, however when on duty, all officials are considered neutral.

The full list of umpires for the NWC: Rachael Ayre, Joshua Bowring, Jono Bredin (NZ), Dave Brown, Gary Burgess, Paula Ferguson, Ian Fuller, Sharon Kelly, Lisa McPhail (NZ), Jackie Mizon, Yvonne Morgan (NZ), Michelle Phippard, Theresa Prince, Kristie Simpson (NZ), Tracy Smith, Marie Lou Van der Merwe and Joel Young Strong.

The Umpire Appointment Panel: Maureen Boyle (Chair), Margaret Deighan, Maggie du Plessis, David Pala’amo (NZ) and Yvette Smith.

Jury of Appeal: Tina Browne, Octavia Gibson, Tebogo Lebotse, Helen Robinson (also INF Technical Delegate) and Janet Wrighton.
