Tall and of slim build, Anne Taylor heralded a strong era in small town New Zealand Netball when she was named in the 1974 Silver Ferns team to tour England.

One of the key attributes the goal attack from Matamata provided was her strategic sense of the game.

Taylor had an innate understanding of the attacking end of the court and the associated game plans that went with it.

Talented and with a sound knowledge of the game, Taylor was a consummate team player.

She was selected for the Silver Ferns in 1975 for the Auckland-hosted Netball World Cup where New Zealand finished third.
