Cathrine Tuivaiti profile

Cathrine Tuivaiti

2013 - 2014

GS
GA
Blessed with soft hands, nimble footwork and an eye for the gap, Auckland shooter Cathrine Latu added an abundant repertoire of skills to the attacking circle.

After electing to play for Samoa at Netball World Cup 2007 in Auckland, Latu had to complete a four-year stand-down to become eligible to play for the Silver Ferns.

Inclusion in a composite World 7 team in 2009 pushed the former NZSS and NZ U21 shooter’s standing in Netball to new heights.

Selected in the Silver Ferns in 2011, she went on to make her debut that same year against England.

An instinctive player, Tuivaiti is adept at working her way close to the post and has a high accuracy return. With her wide range of natural ball and movement skills, her deceptive exploits in the goal circle have become a real feature of her play.
