During a strong Otago era, strapping shooter Jo Morrison came to prominence on the back of consistently dominant shooting returns to gain Silver Ferns selection in 1997.
At the time the most accurate shooter in the country, Morrison had the ability to consistently convert goals from range.
Plying her trade from goal shoot, the lofty Morrison was a strong holding shooter with impeccable timing and the ability to get the ball in her hands close to the post.
Morrison had on-court presence in being able to effectively hold her space in the circle, had no hesitation in going to the post and was a quality rebounder.
Morrison had the distinction of competing at two Commonwealth Games for two different countries. She represented the Silver Ferns at Kuala Lumpur in 1998, the first time Netball was on the programme, and after heading off on her OE, gained selection for England (her country of birth) for the 2002 edition.
