GK

WD
Well-travelled at a young age, Lyn Robertson was born in Liverpool, England and schooled at Motueka High School, near Nelson, before going on to make a name for herself at netball in Otago.

Predominantly a goal keeper, Proudlove who could play all three defensive positions. She was first selected for the Silver Ferns for the 1979 Netball World Cup in Trinidad, the New Zealanders sharing the title with Trinidad & Tobago and Australia, and the tour to England which followed.

Proudlove was used extensively during those campaigns but not selected again until the next Netball World Cup four years later in Singapore in 1983 where she battled for game time with the well-performed defensive duo of Yvonne Willering and Tracey Fear.

With a strong provincial record and plenty of experience behind her, Proudlove was an accomplished defender and a key asset during her two Netball World Cup campaigns.
